About

First Presbyterian Preschool, a ministry of Savannah’s First Presbyterian Church, is open to the community and offers families a nurturing and educational Christian preschool environment.

The preschool is a morning program for children ages 1 (walking) through 4. Our school day is from 9 AM until 1:00 PM. The school is open daily and parents may choose a two, three, or five day schedule. We follow the Savannah Chatham School calendar, typically beginning the day after Labor Day and ending on the last Friday in May. During the summer, two three week “Camp” sessions are offered.

We approach learning “developmentally”, offering age-appropriate activities to meet each child’s developmental needs. Our comfortable and warm environment allows children to gain socialization skills as they work with a combination of large and small manipulatives and participate in Circle Time, a daily story, art, and music. Our associate pastor shares a Bible story weekly. A nutritious snack is provided daily. Outdoor activities are a part of the daily curriculum; if inclement weather occurs, the children play in the large fellowship hall with tunnels, balls, and small riding toys.

Our program boasts a dedicated staff of qualified teachers and class size is limited to eight. The “Ones” and “Twos” have two teachers each, while the “Threes” and “PreK” have one teacher each. The director, Ann Anderson, is a veteran Early Childhood educator and floats among the four classrooms. Instructors are CPR certified and trained in first aid.  See our tuition fees here.

For interested families, extended care options are available five days a week in the morning and after school.  Early Drop Off is available from 8:30-9:00 for all children.  Fun Bunch from 1-2:30 for children that are potty trained.

Visitors are invited to come by and see our classrooms, meet the teachers, and ask any questions you may have.

Thanks so much for your interest in First Presbyterian Preschool!
